- DaimlerChrysler - CDI (and on Jeep vehicles simply as CRD)
- Fiat Group - (Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia) - JTD
- Honda - i-CTDi
- Hyundai - CRDI
- Ford Motor Company - Duratorq and PowerStroke
- Renault - dCi
- General Motors/Opel Vauxhall - CDTi (most of these engines are manufactured by Fiat and Isuzu)
- Mitsubishi - DI-D
- PSA Peugeot Citroën - HDI or HDi
- Ssangyong - XDi (most of these engines are manufactured by DaimlerChrysler)
- Toyota - D-4D
- Nissan - NEO-Di
- Mazda - CiTD
- Tata - DICOR
- Mahindra - CRDe
