The 2-channel version of the Pico Automotive Diagnostics Kit is an inexpensive diagnostic tool suitable for use on any type of modern automotive vehicle.

This powerful and flexible automotive diagnostic tool connects to, and is powered by, the USB port of your PC.

It has been designed to be easy-to-use, and so is equally suitable for both novice and expert users.

Just plug your PicoScope into the USB port on any standard Windows based PC, load the supplied PicoScope Automotive software, and then simply select the component/system to be tested from a drop down menu.

The software will automatically configure the scope for you as well as give you advice on what the waveform should look like, and general technical information on the item being tested.

The PicoScope 3223 2-Channel Automotive Oscilloscope is powered directly from the USB port of your computer eliminating the need for power leads or battery packs, and making it suitable for use both for workshop-based and mobile automotive diagnostics.

Powerful automotive software


Unlike most digital storage oscilloscopes, which typically have 8 bit vertical resolution and poor DC accuracy, the PicoScope 3223 2-Channel Automotive Oscilloscope is accurate to 1% and has 12 bit resolution. This gives a vertical resolution of 4000 ‘dots’ compared to the usual 100 or 200 of most other automotive scopes.

As well as the high vertical resolution, the PicoScope 3223 2-Channel Automotive Oscilloscope also features a large memory buffer making it possible for you to capture large, complex signals and then expand areas of interest to show the fine detail of the signal.

Being PC-based the captured signal waveforms can then be saved to your PC for future reference, printed or emailed.

Injector - Waveform 1
The waveform captures show the injector voltage signal and injector current signal obtained from a VN Commodore V6 vehicle.

Image 1 is the initial waveform capture and Image 2 is a magnified view of the initial waveform capture.

Channel A is the injector voltage signal and channel B is the injector current signal.
