G Scan - VE Commodore Key programming

       

SELECT

Select Theft Deterrent Module (TDM)

Read and clear any Diagnostic Trouble Codes from the system.

Select Programming

Select Reprogram All Transponder Keys

Read the disclaimer and if accepted press F1, F2, F3, F4 on the scan tool to continue.

Turn ignition on and press Enter.

Note: All programmed keys previously have to be programmed again or they will be deleted from the system. Press Enter to continue.

Note: At least two transponder keys must be programmed. (If a second transponder key is not programmed an immobilizer service message will continually appear on the instrument display). Press Enter to continue.

Turn ignition OFF and press Enter.

Please wait (approx 10 seconds)

Turn ignition ON and press Enter

Please wait – Function in progress. Please wait the remaining time (HHMMSS) this will be a 10 minute countdown until 0 is reached.

Once countdown is complete, turn ignition OFF and press Enter to continue.

After a short wait, you will be asked to turn ignition ON and press Enter.

Turn ignition OFF and press Enter to continue.

Turn ignition ON and press Enter to continue.

Please Wait, then ‘1 key programmed will appear’. Press Enter.

Insert non programmed transponder key, turn ignition ON and press Enter to continue.

Program Completed will appear. Press any key.

To program an additional third key

Then go to 1. Program additional keys.

Read the disclaimer and if accepted press F1, F2, F3, F4 on the scan tool to continue.

Turn ignition ON with already programmed key and press Enter.

2 keys programmed will appear, press Enter.

Turn ignition ON with programmed key and press Enter to continue

Turn ignition ON with the other programmed key within 10 seconds and press Enter.

Insert non-programmed key, turn ignition ON and press Enter.

3 keys programmed will be displayed, Press Enter.

Function Complete.

Important Notes: If the alarm has gone off due to forced entry or similar, the remote control must be programmed first before a key transponder can be programmed.

Also if the car is left in learn mode after programming keys, and keys appear to have programmed ok and no DTC’s are present, you may have to disconnect the battery and reconnect to reset.
